Nicaragua to Santiago Chile - Overland

It's quite a journey this. As the crow flies over the roads it's around 4200 miles, however I am not even going to guess just how long it would be if all those Andes induced twists and turns were calculated. As the crow files over the road it's the equivalent of Glasgow to Ghana and that's following the coast once in Africa.

A total of 15 busses, 2 speed boats, one plane* and one train calculates at 157 hours of seat time. It shouldn't surprise you that I tallied the cost; £311. I'll let you decide if that is expensive?

* West to east in direction. Therefore does not assist the east to west circumnavigation - sin avion.
